Innovative, Personalized Radiology Therapies
Radiation oncology uses radiation to kill cancer cells or slow their growth. The radiation oncology team at St. Luke’s leads the way in advanced treatment options for a wide range of cancers. Your radiation oncology specialists work closely with the rest of your cancer care team to provide a personalized treatment plan for you.
Our radiation therapy team specializes in treatments that target cancerous tissue, spare healthy surrounding tissue and reduce your exposure to radiation. Some of the radiation options we provide are:
- 3D conformal radiation therapy
- Brachytherapy (internal radiation), including MammoSite breast and prostate seed
- Image guided radiation therapy (IGRT)
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
- Stereotactic radiosurgery
Your doctor may recommend radiation therapy for certain cancers, including:
- Brain cancer
- Breast Cancer
- Cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, such as colorectal cancer
- Head and neck cancers

- Soft-tissue sarcomas (cancers that grow in the soft tissue that surrounds your bones and organs)
