Medical Oncology

Chemotherapy and Medication Therapy for Your Cancer Care

The St. Luke’s medical oncologists use advanced technology and clinical research to determine the best treatment plan for you. Your treatment can include medications like chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormone therapy. We often provide medications in the form of infusions.

After your our oncologist creates your personalized treatment plan, you will meet to review benefits and risks of treatment. During treatment , your oncologist will oversee the process, monitor your progress and help you manage any side effects. Your doctor and our entire clinic team will be there to answer any questions you or your loved ones have.

Our medical oncology team works with the rest of our cancer care team to coordinate your care plan. All your care is available at our convenient Center for Cancer Care, which is accredited by the Commission on Cance

Support for Every Phase of Your Cancer Care

Your medical oncology team will be with you every step of the way, starting with prescribing your course of treatment. Your medical oncologist can also recommend additional services like nutrition and fitness to help you feel better and manage your symptoms. While you receive care, your nurse navigator and social worker can connect you with education and support for your emotional, physical and spiritual health. We’ll also manage your follow-up care after you finish your treatment. Your doctor will schedule regular follow-up visits to see how you’re doing.
