Complete, Convenient Surgical Care
We offer a complete range of gynecological surgery, from the simple to complex. Our empathetic gynecologic surgeons can provide expert care through every stage of your life.
Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Studies have shown that a minimally invasive approach to gynecological surgery reduces pain, shortens recovery time and improves overall outcomes. Minimally invasive surgery also means you can usually go home the same day, so you can get back to enjoying your life sooner. We also use robot-assisted surgical procedures, which offer more precision for your surgeon during surgery and can reduce your recovery time and risk of complications.
Our minimally invasive gynecologic procedures include:
- Hysterectomy (a surgical procedure to remove the uterus)
- Hysteroscopy (a procedure in which a surgeon inserts a tube through the vagina to examine the cervix or uterus)
- Laparoscopy (a procedure in which a surgeon makes a small incision and uses thin, flexible tubes called catheters to insert lighted cameras and tools into the body)
- Endometrial ablation (destruction of the uterine lining to reduce menstrual flow)
- Loop electrical excision procedure (LEEP, a procedure we use to test and treat abnormal cell growth and possible early stages of cervical cancer)
- Pelvic exam under anesthesia (an exam done using sedation for reasons of physical or psychological discomfort)
- Anterior or posterior repairs (procedures to correct pelvic organs that have dropped out of normal positions; anterior repair lets us treat cystocele, a prolapse of the vaginal wall under the bladder; and posterior repair lets us treat rectocele, a prolapse of the vaginal wall over the rectum)
- Incision and drainage or excision of cyst (lancing or removal of cysts or abscesses)
- Bilateral tubal ligation (permanent birth control by tying or burning the tubes that lead to the ovaries)
