Understandably, a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. St. Luke's provides access to a multi-disciplinary team of specialists who work closely together to provide each woman with a personalized treatment plan, helping her navigate the care she needs.
Breast surgery
Board-certified surgeons with specialized training in breast health offer many options for diagnosing and treating breast cancer. They also work closely with plastic and reconstructive surgeons to coordinate procedures, when needed.
Cancer care coordination
Breast care coordinators and women's health nurse practitioners help manage and coordinate services to ensure appropriate care across the continuum. They serve as advocates, navigators and educators, supporting each stage of a woman's breast health experience from detection of a potential problem, through the process of a diagnostic work-up, to a definitive diagnosis and beyond.
Genetic counseling and testing
If needed, women also have access to genetic counseling and testing.
