Research & Clinical Trials

Types of Research Studies

The Sleep Medicine and Research Center at St. Luke's Hospital is a medical facility for diagnosing and treating patients with sleep-related disorders. The Center also conducts research studies to investigate sleep function and help find new ways to treat sleep disorders.

The Sleep Medicine and Research Center conducts research studies in a variety of areas including insomnia, non-refreshing sleep, sleep apnea and sleep function. Some studies (called clinical trials) evaluate medications that are not yet approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Why Participate in a Clinical Trial or Research Study

Participants can help others by contributing to medical research. You may also have temporary access to medical treatment not currently available. Some studies provide monetary compensation.
