Your team will include breast surgeons, radiologists and women’s health nurse practitioners who oversee your medical care through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. We’ll make sure you understand your treatment plan and have all the resources you need every step of the way.

Your Care Team

Our breast cancer team at St. Luke’s is here to support you from screening to diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship.

In addition, you'll have a team dedicated to supporting you, including:

  • Breast care coordinators: These team members will help you understand your diagnosis and treatment plan and navigate the health care system. They’re also your advocate and provide emotional support.
  • Chaplains: These professionals provide spiritual direction and support for any faith.
  • Genetic counselors: These members of our team can provide genetic testing and counseling if you have a strong family history of cancer. They can also help you decide if genetic testing is right for you.
  • Social workers: They can help you and your loved ones cope with the emotional, social and financial stress associated with cancer. They also help identify community resources.

Additional Support

Our team can connect you with the following resources:

  • Breast reconstruction: We can help you decide if reconstructive surgery is right for you. Breast reconstruction techniques can restore a breast to near-normal shape and appearance following mastectomy or lumpectomy.
  • High-Risk Clinic: If you have a high risk of developing breast cancer, our dedicated High-Risk Clinic can offer you additional support to understand your risk and create an effective plan to monitor your health.
  • Rehabilitation services: Our therapists can help you during and after cancer treatment to help you regain the best possible body function and movement. You’ll work together to determine a care plan based on your goals and functional needs.
