St. Luke's Hospital Pharmacy Residency Programs

Pharmacy Department Information

St. Luke’s Hospital’s Pharmacy Department has 35 pharmacists and 20 non-pharmacist staff. St. Luke’s provides both centralized and decentralized pharmacy services. Decentralized floor pharmacists work alongside physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team to provide patient care. The department also includes clinical pharmacy specialists in areas such as critical care, infectious diseases, pain management, transitions of care, and emergency medicine. Additionally, St. Luke’s has an outpatient retail pharmacy that offers in room prescription delivery for inpatients, as well as an Anticoagulation Clinic staffed daily by four pharmacists that manages warfarin therapy for nearly 1,000 patients.

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

St. Luke's Hospital - St. Louis offers a PGY1 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) residency program, with 3 positions available (program listing number: 64301). The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency conducted by St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO is accredited by ASHP. The PGY1 is a one-year program designed to provide a broad pharmaceutical care experience to prepare our residents for further residency training or job opportunities.

PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency

St. Luke’s Hospital - St. Louis also offers a PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency program, with 1 position available (program listing number: 64912). The PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency conducted by St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO has an accreditation candidate status with ASHP. The PGY2 is a one-year program designed to build upon the knowledge and skills acquired through PGY1 training and prepare graduates to work as clinical pharmacy specialists in internal medicine or for clinical faculty positions.
