Chesterfield, MO., March 11, 2024 – St. Luke’s is pleased to announce that Jon Vitiello has been hired as the health system’s new chief financial officer (CFO). Joining St. Luke’s executive leadership team, Vitiello will optimize St. Luke’s sustained improvements in financial performance. Vitiello will report directly to St. Luke’s President and CEO, Andy Bagnall.

Mr. Vitiello brings thirty years of experience in the healthcare field to the St. Luke’s CFO role. He served in several leadership roles with Mercy Health system, including System Senior Vice President of Financial Operations & Chief Analytics Officer; Chief Financial Officer of the Oklahoma and Arkansas Region; Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operations Officer for Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas; and Executive Director of Finance for Mercy St. Louis. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Affordable Care and did healthcare management consulting. Most recently, Jon was the Chief Financial Officer for CheckedUp, Inc., a patient education company providing tech-enabled solutions.
Vitiello holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Louis University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served on the boards of directors for various non-profit organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Mr. Vitiello will begin work in his new role with St. Luke’s in late March 2024.
