St. Luke's Pulmonary Function Test Labs offer Certified Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT) and a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist to help provide diagnostic tests for various lung diseases including asthma, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema.
St. Luke's Pulmonary Function Test Labs are registered by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) - the largest pulmonary organization in North America. The ATS has a strong background in writing standards and establishing networks at the state and national levels. Our registration with the ATS registry allows us to maintain quality standards in each of our labs and work a network of laboratories on research, benchmarking and policy making.
Our labs have participated in numerous research trials. As a result, we have become a resource and example for other research facilities in terms of calibration, accuracy, biocontrol and producing the highest standards in new discoveries in lung disease.
We maintain our quality standards by training our core group of therapists who are highly qualified and who also demonstrate a high level of understanding of ATS guidelines. We continue to strive for quality and consistency by reviewing all aspects of PFT testing on an ongoing basis and providing continuous feedback and education to all therapists.
