St. Luke's Residency Program
A Resident team from St. Luke's won 3rd prize in the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement division for "Aiming High with High - Intensity Statins: Improving Statin Therapy in Diabetic Patients in a Resident-Run Clinic", at the American College of Physicians Poster Competition, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, September, 2016. The same poster was a winner at the ACP national Internal Medicine Meeting, San Diego, California, April 2017!
Two resident team Quality Improvement posters were presented at the prestigious national Society of Hospital Medicine Meeting, Las, Vegas, Nevada, May, 2017: "Missing the Yellow Flags: Does a Tardy Response Trigger the Rapid Response?", and "A Physician Education Program Effectively Reduces the Cost of Unnecessary Laboratory Testing in a Resident-Run Clinic". The latter manuscript was accepted for publication in JCHIMP, May, 2017.
Seven posters were presented at the Missouri ACP Meeting.
Four residents presented six additional posters at national meetings.
Two residents co-published original research.

Residents from St. Luke's won 2nd place prizes for "Connecting the Dots: PNH, Eculizumab, Melanoma and Warts" in the Clinical Vignettes division and "The Utilization of Respiratory Multiplex PCR in the Hospital Setting" in the Quality Improvement division at the American College of Physicians Associate Poster Competition, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, September, 2014.
