Shanthi Kumar, MD, is a a board-certified physician in internal medicine for Mera, Boesch & Kumar Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's Hospital. She is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing medicine with St. Luke's Medical Group since 1996.

As a primary care physician, she specializes in adult healthcare, treating patients from age 18 through senior adults and partnering with them to keep them healthy and active in their healthcare. Besides her focus on wellness, she also provides diagnosis and treatment of illnesses such as heart disease, digestive disorders, hormonal conditions, arthritis, diabetes, infections and respiratory conditions.

Dr. Kumar strives to build long-term relationships with her patients and to empower them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Her commitment to healthcare extends beyond her practice, and she works with assisted living and skilled nursing care facilities.

Dr. Kumar is happily married with three children. In her free time, she enjoys music, traveling, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
