About

Shane LaRue, MD, MPHS, is board certified in cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, and echocardiography and practices at Heart Care Specialists. He is medical director of St. Luke's Heart Failure Cllinic.

Dr. LaRue’s areas of professional interest include heart failure, cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiac amyloidosis, coronary artery disease, hypertension, invasive hemodynamics, and cardiac catheterization. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

 

Dr. LaRue earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following his internal medicine residency at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI, he completed a cardiology fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He subsequently completed his advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology fellowship at Washington University.

 

Dr. LaRue works closely with patients to ensure they make the most informed clinical decisions possible. He strongly believes in personalized medicine, with close attention to each patient’s unique values. He performs all procedures with expert precision and attention to safety.
