Mark Gdowski, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist at St. Luke’s. Dr. Gdowski earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency from Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, where he also served as Chief Resident. He then completed his cardiology fellowship and advanced clinical fellowships in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease at Washington University School of Medicine. He received the Knowlton Incentive for Excellence Award by Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gdowski is an expert in the treatment and long-term management of many types of heart conditions. His areas of interest include the treatment of valvular heart disease as well as interventional cardiology and coronary artery disease, including complex coronary interventions. Dr. Gdowski’s goal is to educate and empower his patients so they can understand their health issues and be actively involved in creating their care plan. He wants each patient to fully understand their health conditions and treatment options so they can work together to reduce their future risk and reach their full health potential.
