About
Andrew Berdy, MD, MS, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at St. Luke’s, specializing in diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders. He utilizes advanced electrophysiological techniques, including catheter ablation and device implantation, to improve cardiac health and quality of life.
After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Berdy earned a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics and a medical degree with honors from Georgetown University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital, followed by a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Berdy also completed a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Berdy’s clinical interests include catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and SVT, as well as resynchronization therapy device implantation. He has expertise in the placement of leadless pacemakers, which may avoid some risks of traditional pacemakers.
Dr. Berdy fosters strong doctor-patient relationships, ensuring his patients feel empowered throughout their treatment journey. His approach integrates evidence-based medicine with compassionate care, striving to achieve optimal individualized outcomes for his patients.
