Possible Interactions with: Lactobacillus Acidophilus

Bifidobacterium; L. Acidophilus; Lactobacillus Acidophilus; Prebiotics; Probiotics

If you are currently being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use Lactobacillus or other probiotics without first talking to your health care provider.

Sulfasalazine -- A laboratory study suggests that L. acidophilus speeds up metabolism of sulfasalazine, a medication used to treat ulcerative colitis. The significance of this information is unknown.
