Adult Volunteer Program

Make a Difference

If you want to help others, consider becoming a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital. Our adult volunteers are a diverse and caring group of people who give thousands of hours of service each year to support St. Luke’s mission.

Volunteers serve one 4-hour shift each week on a regular schedule (same day, same shift, same department). The minimum commitment is 100 hours served over a 6-7 month period. Positions are available Monday through Friday during business hours in different departments. Morning shifts are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and afternoon shifts are from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out the application form using the link below. Once we receive your application, the Volunteer Office will contact you to schedule an interview to discuss the program and potential volunteer opportunities.

Before starting volunteer service, selected applicants must complete an onboarding process that includes:

  • A urine drug test
  • A criminal background check (social security number needed)
  • A blood test to check for tuberculosis, measles, mumps, and rubella
  • A review of your immunization record
  • Proof of a current flu vaccine (or you must agree to get the vaccine)
