Volunteer with St. Luke's

Volunteers are an important part of our healthcare team at St. Luke’s. They help us provide great care to every patient, every time. Our volunteer program creates positive interactions between volunteers, patients, families, and staff by offering ways to use your time to make a difference.

Adult volunteers help patients, visitors, and staff by providing services like reception, customer service, and wayfinding. Their hard work and care make a big impact on our patients’ experiences.

We are always looking for individuals over the age of 21 who can commit to volunteering for at least four hours a week on a regular schedule.

The Auxiliary of St. Luke's Hospital operates the hospital gift shop and other special initiatives in support of our mission. To learn more about the Auxiliary, please call us at 314-542-4768.

The College Student Volunteer Program is for students currently attending college (not high school students taking college classes). This program gives students a chance to work with patients in customer service roles, but it does not include clinical experience or count toward any college degree programs.

The Summer Student Volunteer Program is designed for high school and college students (ages 16 and older) who want to help create a welcoming space for patients and visitors. Summer volunteers do not perform medical procedures or help with patient care.

St. Luke's Hospice Services focus on comfort and care while providing end of life care for patients in the comfort of their own home, or an environment of their choice. Hospice provides social and spiritual support, in addition to the physical and emotional needs of patients with a life-limiting illness, and offers support for family members. Volunteers are an important part of this team.
