If you are interested in a future career in healthcare, you may experience St. Luke's through our Job Shadowing program. Job shadowing at St. Luke's Hospital is a great way to get a "behind-the-scenes" look at the daily role and responsibilities of healthcare professionals. In providing this opportunity, we hope you gain valuable insight about professions that interest you, as well as other jobs that interact with the person you are shadowing.

We have two locations: Chesterfield and Des Peres, Missouri (both are in the St. Louis area) and are not affiliated with any other St. Luke's Hospital or hospital system.

Job shadowing is available for individuals ages 16 and older. However, some units have additional requirements.

We offer a one-time, 4-hour shadowing opportunity. Due to demand, we cannot schedule repeat visits.

Shadowing is generally scheduled on week days (Monday-Friday), between 8:00 a.m. and Noon. However, times may fluctuate based on the department/division.

Requirements
NOTE: All requirements must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to your requested shadow date.

• Parental consent for students under 18 years of age
• Job Shadowing Application
• Completed and signed quiz
• Signed and Witnessed Confidentiality & Patient Privacy
• Signed Acknowledgement of Receipt
• Signed Waiver of Liability
• Proof of annual flu vaccination (Seasonally October-May)

• Therapy Services (Wednesdays only)
• Emergency Department
• Nursing
• Radiology

• Hyperbaric Medicine
• Operating Room
• Respiratory Care
