St. Louis Regional Healthcare Systems Launch St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force

To slow the transmission of COVID-19 and to help save lives across the St. Louis metropolitan, St. Luke’s Hospital joined BJC Healthcare, Mercy and SSM Health to create the St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force. The task force will build on the coordinated work from our region’s health systems, governmental and public health leaders to ensure collaboration for the best possible patient care and coordination of supplies, hospital beds and other critical assets.

Dr. Alex Garza, chief medical officer for SSM Health, serves as the incident commander of the task force. Daily briefings are held at 3 p.m. and are streamed live on the St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force Facebook page.
