The St. Louis Business Journal asked speakers and other participants at the 2020 Women's Conference to tell the best advice or career tips they've ever received. Here's what some St. Luke's team members had to say.
- Dr. Delene Musielak, a St. Luke's Hospital pediatrician: "Be The Exception. Even when others make it seem like it's not possible, know that it is possible and you can do it."
- Laurie Chappell, MSN, RN, a certified nurse community educator at St. Luke’s Hospital: "Staying curious about people, your work and the world, in general, encourages rich experiences in every aspect of your life. A curious child experiences life through asking questions and observing their world. By doing so, you can discourage burnout, frustration and even boredom."
- Jan Hess, St. Luke’s Hospital Vice President - Network Integration/Professional and Administrative Services: "A good leader possesses good character, is a master problem-solver, and is generous with praise while stingy with criticism."
