St. Luke’s Surrey Place has an overall rating of 5 out of 5 and is also High Performing with a 3 out of 3 rating for Short-Term Rehabilitation! To be recognized as one of the 2025 U.S. News Best Nursing Homes, a home must have been “High Performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, or both. Only 19% of almost 15,000 skilled nursing facilities rated by U.S. News meet that standard.

This rating evaluates a nursing home's quality of post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay such as after stroke, heart attack, infection, or accidental injury. The U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings are based on the most detailed analysis of the country’s skilled nursing facilities. The Short-Term ratings are based on an assessment of 9 quality measures, using data from the federal government’s Care Compare program. Those measures include staffing levels, medical outcomes, and resident complaints. A home may receive a rating of High Performing, Average or Below Average.
The annual Best Nursing home rankings and ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.
